Marcela Aguilar, MHS
Marcela Aguilar is a strategic communications leader with deep expertise in translating complex scientific and public health information into accessible, evidence-based content for diverse audiences. Fluent in English and Spanish, she has directed health communication initiatives across 16 countries for organizations, including the CDC, NIH, PAHO, and USAID. Most recently, she served as Communications Director for Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs' Breakthrough ACTION project, where she led digital strategy, audience engagement, and knowledge dissemination at scale. She now brings that experience to Georgetown University's Expert Vaccine Analysis Team, where she supports media outreach efforts to counter vaccine misinformation.
